PERSHING 8X

Pershing’s ‘X-series’ are set to become the first motor yacht design icons of the 21st century. With their beautiful, cutting edge styling, inside and out, and a 45-knot performance that leaves others standing, an x-series Pershing is unmissable. At almost 84ft overall (25.55m) the 8x is the latest in the line. Top speed is 45 knots, or 48 knots with optional larger engines.

INTERIOR

With even deeper saloon windows than her predecessors, the 8x offers an outstanding outlook from her main saloon. An opening sunroof above the main helm gives the driver a delightful open-top sensation. While the full height glazed door between the saloon and aft cockpit drops away completely to leave an uninterrupted, seamless, indoor/outdoor living space. The entire boat is served by a VOTIS infotainment system, with separate zones controlled by tablets or smartphones. It even includes the ‘Musichull’ feature to play music under water around the boat!

EXTERIOR

The 8x is the first motor yacht of its kind to have an entirely carbon fibre superstructure, giving significantly greater strength and rigidity as well as less weight. The sweeping ‘wings’ that elegantly link the superstructure to the aft cockpit were originally designed to channel airflow and spray away from the cockpit. But on the 8x they also conceal a graceful, curved stairway from cockpit to flybridge. On the foredeck, special jetski lockers beside the seating area are a clever touch, and there’s space in the stern garage for a PWC as well as a 3.45m RIB tender.

PERFORMANCE

With her twin Top System surface drives, and some of the most advanced engineering technology in the marine world, driving the 8x is an absolute joy. The amazing Easy Trim and Joystick control options give the driver the kind of finger-tip precision that is just astonishing for a boat this size. Top speed is 45 knots with a pair of 2435hp engines, increasing to 48 knots (55mph / 89kph) with twin 2638hp. That translates into a cruising speed of 41 knots, enabling the 8x to cover 300nm in 7 hours on full tanks.
